what assessment he has made of the circumstances in which the Government would decline to pay any further money to the EU in respect of any shortfall in the EU budget.
Mark Hoban (Financial Secretary, HM Treasury; Fareham, Conservative): The UK is required to make its contributions under obligations imposed by the treaties. The European Communities Act 1972, and Section 2 in particular, gives effect within the UK to Community law.
The Government remain committed to delivering real budgetary restraint at EU level, having successfully frozen the 2012 EU budget in real terms. The European Commission needs to manage any additional spending pressures within existing budgets. This is a task that national governments face every day and the EU must make the same tough decisions.
Thank you for your reply Margarida Vasconcelos, much appreciated and followed up.
Yes, in September 2010, the Commission propose several legislative proposals on economic governance – the so-called six-pack which have already been adopted(November 2011).

Enhancing economic policy coordination for stability, growth and jobs –
Tools for stronger EU economic governance?
I find it odd that no comment of mine seems to remain on your Blog Mr Cash. So, I am trying again.
May I gently remind Mark Hoban his priority, his sworn and solemn allegiance is, should and must be to the Crown, and through the Crown to his own Country and all the people in it, before all else. The people are really hurting financially and no more money should go to the European Union, and actually in truth, none should ever have gone to foreigners at all
The people of this Country elect and contribute to all your pay and vast expenses to actually Govern this Country according to its Common law Constitution yet many seem to think you have the right to ratify EC/EEC/EU Treaties which are absolutely contrary to the very Oaths of Allegiance you say before you each take up your seats even though some people have voted for you all. Not once have the people been asked before any EU Treaty has been ratified if what our MP’s are doing in our name is what they-the people want.
It is not one voter in this Country that has made any kind of commitment to any foreigner or EU Organisation. They cannot, because quite simply to do so would have been contrary to the people’s very own Common law Constitution, and, according to law, to destroy our Constitution is an act of treason.
