The EUobserver reports that the head of the European People's Party (EPP), Wilfried Martens, has asked David Cameron to decide before the European Elections on whether to pull the Conservative Party's members of the European Parliament out of the EPP-ED.

Speaking at a press conference to launch the EPP's draft manifesto for the European Parliament elections, Mr Martens said “We want a clear position before the European elections, we want to know if the conservatives will stay with us or not.”

David Cameron is set to decide on whether to pull the party out of the EPP-ED group after the elections. However, Mr Martens has said that David Cameron should decide by 30 April when the manifesto is to be approved at the EPP congress in Warsaw.
