Eurochambres has recently estimated that compliance with and reporting on EU regulations introduced since 1998 till 2008 have cost over €1 trillion to European businesses.
A new study, entitled ‘Counting the cost of EU regulation to business’ shows on how heavy a burden it is for businesses to comply with regulations. According to the Eurochambres President Pierre Simon "Better evaluation of the costs and benefits of EU regulation would save businesses billions (…)." Read the study here.
